My Hometown
My Hometown: Bangkok, Thailand
Bangkok is my hometown, and it is the capital of Thailand. It's filled with vibrant lights and often filled with smiles! I live in the Krungthep Kreetha area, which is a quieter residential neighbourhood known for its peaceful atmosphere, yet it is still close to the city centre.
At the same time, Bangkok is a paradise for food lovers. If you visit for the first time, there are several must-try dishes such as pad thai, mango sticky rice, and boat noodles. These dishes are easy to find all around the city, especially in street food areas and local markets. Each dish offers a unique combination of flavors—from sweet and creamy to rich and savory—showcasing the true diversity of Thai cuisine.

My Favourite Foods in Thailand as a Local
Somtam
Som tam comes from the northeastern region of Thailand, also known as Isan, and is a fresh and spicy papaya salad with a perfect balance of sour, sweet, and salty flavors.
Kai Jiew
Kai jiew is a simple Thai omelet that can be found all over thecountry, as it is a common home-style dish enjoyed in every region.
Pad Buab
Pad buab, or stir-fried lotus stem, is more commonly found in central Thailand, with a light and refreshing taste and a crunchy texture.
Activities/ Areas to visit in Bangkok
The video basically covers all the areas you should visit. My honest recommendation for tourist traps is to not go to Chinatown, but go to BaanTadThong road instead.

Top 3 night markets to visit in Bangkok:
- Jodd Fairs – best for street food and a lively, trendy atmosphere
- Train Night Market Srinakarin – best for a local, vintage, more authentic experience

2. Roux's https://www.rouxsbkk.com/
I also really enjoy watching movies in theatres here, especially at places like EmQuartier or Siam Paragon, where the service and cleanliness are honestly top tier. It’s small experiences like this that make living in Bangkok feel comfortable and enjoyable.
Whether it’s your first time visiting or you’ve been here before, Bangkok always has a way of giving you a different experience each time. That’s why it will always feel like home to me.
I love my hometown! :>
